J Cole went Master P on niggas and dropped an #1 album “The Off-season” and signed to the first African Basketball League all in the same week. The Audacity of this man to chase his dreams and create a way to reach them no other way I’ve seen anyone do it. He’s got his own shoes lol… I’m inspired! The courage to plan such an accomplishment and follow through with it on a level no ones reached before is amazing to me. I aspire to be that poise to know how great I am, shutup about it for years and release something out of nowhere that undoubtedly exemplifies my excellence. I have a problem with letting the cat out the bag before the follow through. But things like this give me hope for myself and endless ideas for my next big accomplishment.
Cole deserves his flowers he’s been on top of the list as far as lyricists go with me for years and undeniably one of the greatest performers of his era. I haven’t missed a Cole show in DC ever. I was at the Sneakercon show he opened up for the Clipse at the Tunnel back in 2009 or some shit. Even met him at the checkers on NY Ave afterwards. Only right I immortalize one of my favorite Artists. Part of me feels like we’re cousins cause I got big family on my father side in Fayetteville, NC.
