Art All Night
I know I’m a Month or two late posting but I was invited to showcase my talents at MLK Library’s Art All Night Block Party! Art All Night is major in the DC Area, it hosts dozens of Creative events for the creatives in our area to connect with the community all weekend. This year was my first year being a participant in the festivities and another bucket list event checked off for me.

Of course I’ll be there operating the photobooth and food by Chefe! First Aligned night was a banger! Literally my best night to date at the alumni working the booth. Much appreciation and respect to Bri for orchestrating these events, you forever Gang as far as I’m concerned. Come out support your local artists and see what youve been missing from the underground to mainstream talent in the DMV.
Keep the Beat Week
Last week was DC’s week dedicated to Go-Go Music the official music of the nations capital. Mayor Bowser’s initiative to keep Go-Go music alive and the Alumni had the pleasure of Hosting an All woman panel of the leading ladies of the Go-Go scene. Voice of Da City
Continuing to push the Culture forward, J’TA is one of the new faces of Gogo Music taking the nation’s capitol by storm. From the hit CCB single “Optimistic”, to rocking Noochie’s “Front Porch Freestyles” with TOB, to headlining the Women of Gogo performances at the Mayor’s Keep the Beat Week celebration at the Alumni Spot. The Voice of the city is bringing that soul of Gogo back into the spotlight and deserves all the praise she’s getting.

Another Successful Church on Sunday Party at The ALumni Spot! Zay has figured out the sweet spot between cool kids and dance parties and continues to orchestrate a feel good environment on a monthly basis. Feels like The Alumni Spot is becoming the place to be when it comes to no drama, good music, good food, and getting your fit off.

“LEGENDS”
The title “Legend” gets thrown around a lot these days, I’m guilty of it calling myself a living legend. But to me few really meet that standard of excellence. I call myself a living legend because I know the full distance I came from where I was in my youth accomplishing goals to where I am now still adding to my legacy.
Project KKIDD Cookout
Major shoutout to IDK and the Clue team for throwing a dope event Monday at the Oakcrest Community Center in my hometown city of Capitol Heights, Maryland. Also thank you to the homie James for plugging me with the Project KKIDD team to print the jerseys and staff shirts for the event. Not only was it my pleasure doing business but it felt good giving back to our community here in PG County. As well as seeing all my guys hooping, Getting a couple autographs from IDK and Quinn on my Lakers Jersey, and a free Gogo show. Ash and I had a ball and its funny because a year ago we were just meeting at a free new impressions show for the community. Our Baby’s gonna have gogo in his/her blood for sure lol our little bounce beat baby.
Playlist Politics
This past weekend I had the pleasure of shooting and directing a product shoot for a new Party game called Playlist Politics where you are in control of the music and the vibe. Pick a card that has either an artist, genre, or keyword that you have to write down the first song that pops in your head and then the group votes on what song is the most popular. The most popular song gets played, majority rules. Simple but fun and interactive to get you and your friends social and the vibe right for any function.
Cole World
J Cole went Master P on niggas and dropped an #1 album “The Off-season” and signed to the first African Basketball League all in the same week. The Audacity of this man to chase his dreams and create a way to reach them no other way I’ve seen anyone do it. He’s got his own shoes lol… I’m inspired!
RIP MF DOOM
A good 345 of 365 days, 2020 was Hell, and the last day of the year proved no different. Yesterday We lost a Hip Hop Legend in MF DOOM.
Spicoli
The DMV and the universe lost a great soul this week.
I can go on for days about the parties, the Valentines Day playlists, Trillectro, but the Guy was so much cooler than the headlines he seldom took credit for. Definition of stand up guy, had his own style, and fathered a lot of these DJ’s style coming up these days. Not to mention how much of an influence him and Modi were on blogging, giving me endless pointers and help whenever needed way back when i was blogging on Blogspot.
