You Weren’t There!

You Weren’t There!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of being on the You weren’t there podcast Hosted by Mia along with my bro Dre and up and coming Artist DFG Ju. A few years ago I vowed to not do podcasts because of how gimmicky and how fast they were popping up during the pandemic left and right. I’ve done a few of my family’s podcasts ie. Most Known Unknowns, and HighCodes Podcast but it stopped there. I chose to be a guest here because I respect what the podcast stands for; bringing real artistry to light, and creating real dialogue amongst creatives. Not click bait, not viral momentum, just real people with real talent having real convos. Something all three of the aforementioned podcasts have in common. I actually enjoy talking about my career and journey so this was a lot of fun. Check out the You Weren’t There Podcast Below!

Black Air Forces Energy

In our culture sneakers are held on a pedestal alike no other culture. We dont play about our shoes. Furthermore as you dive deeper into the subculture of sneaker culture, certain shoes even have certain rules or stereotypes that follow them. Air Force Ones being one of those pairs that people anywhere recognize and low key judge your character by the color you choose to wear. White Air force ones, are a first day of school staple for my generation, 2 pair for $100 at footlocker was a steal that most parents took advantage of. But black air forces on the other hand get the “bad boy” connotation and represent a different breed of struggle. GoonMilk being a STREETwear brand you already know we embrace the dark side and turn those negatives into positive and lucrative opportunities.

The Ten Year Anniversary Gallery was an amazing experience. Not only did the Brand receive so much love from the gang and my support system but from total strangers as well. Showcasing 26 original portraits with AR capabilities that blew people away as they recorded each piece on their phone. Toasted to the great times of the past and the ones to come in the near future.

Black on the Block

Two weeks ago Stefon Diggs threw a Black Owned Marketplace in the middle of the City at Franklin Park with LA Black Owned Brand Builder out of LA, Black on the Block. The LA Based event ran by Char Edwards, and her sister if I’m not mistaken. Char actually modeled for the GoonMilk brand a few years ago when she was an undergrad at Howard before moving to LA. The event was flooded with good vibes and a ton of vendors. I wish I knew earlier it was gonna be such a great turnout, I would’ve had a table out there but sometimes being a customer is cool to especially when everything’s black owned.
